What is a Riding Stable?
A public riding stable is a place where anyone can come and ride a horse. Public riding stables must adhere to laws regarding animal welfare and public safety. In addition, riding stables must adhere to the limitations that insurance polices place upon the premises. Our goal is to provide a safe and happy place for people and animals alike. We will not tolerate animal cruelity nor will we place an animal or a person in a situation where the they may be in jeparody.
What do you do at the Stable?
We take trail rides, feed, water and groom the horses, provide programs to the community that involve horses and have fun. Running a stable can be hard sometimes because each horse needs one on one care, but we love our herd and work hard to keep them healthy and happy.
What can the Stable offer me?
We offer trail rides, lessons, scout programs, horse boarding and much more. Come out and visit sometime and we can give you a tour of the facility.
How much does it cost to feed a horse?
Feeding horses is the most costly part of running a stable. Horses eat hay, grain and supplements where needed, all these things can add up quickly. On average it costs $150-$200 a month for feed and care of just one horse at the Stable. That's what is great about a public stable, you can ride a horse and not have to worry about the daily care of keeping a horse of your own!
